About L&L
Hi! Welcome to Lollipops and Lemons! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Sarah. I'm a wife and momma to two boys. I love creating fun ways to make memories as a family and traveling with my kids. I'm passionate about creating a non-toxic home, cooking, and volunteering for causes that support those walking the brain cancer path. Let me tell you a little bit about how my shop came to be.
I created Lollipops and Lemons as a blog many years ago, when my first son was born. It was a creative outlet for me, which was something that I really needed as I transitioned from the corporate world to being a stay at home mom. Shortly after my second son was born, I went back to work and the blog fell by the wayside as life got busy being a working mom to two boys 2 and under.
In 2018, my brother was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 29 and my family began the most difficult journey of our lives. We fought alongside him through surgery and treatment for four years. As his illness progressed, my whole family relocated to be with him. We made so many incredible memories together during that time. He passed away in August of 2022 and our hearts were (are) broken.
Throughout his illness, we worked hard to prioritize family time and do fun things together to make the most of the time we had. I planned themed parties with activities that we could do at home, so as not to expose him to outside germs (2020). These parties brought so much joy and laughter during an incredibly difficult time. To this day, these are some of my favorite memories. As I created more of these themed days, the boys only asked for more! The boys still talk about each themed day and the things they remember from it. It makes my heart so happy to know that these times together are so important to them. This is how the Adventure Awaits collection was born!
Since losing my brother, it has become so deeply important to me to laugh, play, be adventurous, and make memories with my boys. My wish is that through the Lollipops and Lemons Adventure Awaits Crates, your family is inspired to create memories and experience joy and laughter together too. I hope that you can set the "busy" down for just a bit to experience a new adventure with your kids. I hope that your kids talk about these themed days for years to come. After all, there is no greater gift than memories of time with those you love. Let's make some memories!
With Love,
Sarah
