Keeping Childhood Memories Organized

December 19, 2016~ Kids

**This is not a sponsored post.  When I find something that I love to use, I love to share it with all of you!  This is one of those things. 🙂 **

I have struggled for a long time with keeping childhood memories organized for Noah and now Liam.  Noah says probably a hundred hilarious things every day and I have countless videos and pictures of the boys!  I love sharing their cute moments and milestones with my family as well.  My brothers all live far away but they love seeing what their little nephews are up to!  Today I’m sharing my favorite way to keep it all organized in a place that can be easily shared!  I can’t even count how many different apps and sites I tried before landing on this one.  So here goes….my favorite app for keeping childhood memories organized is called Notabli.

Here are the reasons I love it so much:

I can use it from my desktop or my phone.  It is so incredibly simple (and most importantly, fast) to add photos, videos, quotes, or just general notes about each child.  I really love that with each one, it asks what I most want to remember about that moment!  It’s perfect for those hilarious quotes that you want to remember some of the context for!

I can also invite family members to be a part of our Notabli account.  This way, they can use the app (or website) to see the things that I’m posting and can like or comment on them, much like you would on social media, only access is restricted to those you’ve invited!  (Note that they can share on social media, so be sure to only invite people you trust).  I think this is one of the best features.  Not only am I creating a record for my boys, but I’m able to share those moments with my family without sending it separately!

I can view each child separately or together.  For those really big moments, like first steps, I can flag them as milestones and then filter by only those!

If I’m sharing a photo that I don’t want those on my invite list to see, I can ‘lock’ it to mark it as private so that only those marked as parents can view it.

Perhaps one of the best features of Notabli is that I can have the app automatically create baby books for me!!  You can sign up for a super simple subscription service to have them automatically print a baby book for every 50 photos collected!  Don’t worry, you can choose if you would like to exclude a photo from the book.  Their site lists that custom books are in the works, which will be a really neat feature as well.

Another fun way to use Notabli is to organize the endless amount of art projects and pictures that come home from school.  Snap a pic with your phone and load it to Notabli.  It’s kept with that kid, you can add comments to it, and then you can save your storage boxes at home for the really priceless treasures that your children create.  🙂
